New Favorite Aunt!

Jessica definitely has a way with kids...at least with my kid. She and Emma took many a naps together. Jess just seems to have that special touch and can put Emma right to sleep. Way to go Jess!

Krista and her Creativity!

Krista got creative with Emma while we were in Texas. She took Emma's little skirt and head band and created two new hats! I love the pic of Emma peering out from under the skirt!

Reunited

It was so hard for Grandma Young to leave little Emma back in March so it was so fun to get to go to Texas these past 2 weeks and visit the family again.

3 month old little "birdie"

Emma is now 3 months old (May 29th) and loves to try and bite your nose! She has definitely figured out how to use her mouth, hands, and voice!

Emma and Granny and Grandpa

While we were in Ariozna interviewing for jobs, Emma got to see her grandparents again. They loved playing with her. She especially loved Grandpa only because she is a flirt and loves to catch any male eye and smile at him real big. Grandpa almost got her to laugh which few can do.

New bed

Emma has been a trooper through all of our travelling. The interview process has been a long one and extensive. Emma has now been to 6 different states, that's like 2 a month for her! She has been to Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. While staying at the hotel in Arizona the promised crib never showed up so we made a makeshift bed for Emma. She actually seemed to love it!

So Emma finally got to meet both of her great grandmas this last month. Unfortunately we didn't think to get pics of Emma and Grandma Wilde but these are some cute pics of Emma and Grandma Deann.

Happy Father's Day

So, I thought it fitting to try out the link Brittany posted for My Heritage's "look-a-like" meter on this fine Father's Day. It was fitting because as we suspected, Emma looks more like her daddy than her mommy. however, it only said she looks like him by 3% more than me. I think it should be higher since there baby pics are identicle. I'll have to scan our baby pics and do the meter thing again. Sorry, you'll have to wait for those results!

Mother's Day!

I experienced my very first Mother's Day this last Sunday as a mom. It's so neat to be a mom. Emma has brought such joy and fulfillment to my life. We have so much fun playing and sleeping all day...and getting a little work done. Emma is our pride and joy and so cute. Here's a couple pics of me and my finest achievement!

Best Friends!

Olivia and Emma! My friend Emily from Alaska lives across the street from our complex (who knew?) and we've enjoyed comparing our little girls. Funny thing is though that Olivia is 3 months old and Emma was only 2 months old at the time of this picture. They look exactly the same size now but Olivia has doubled her birth weight while Emma has gained only 3 pounds!

Too Cute!

Emma has always done funny things with her hands but this was one was too cute. I think she's tired of yucky formula and wants some steak and potatoes or....candy!

My talented little girl is very possessive of her bottles and insists on helping to hold it. Too bad she hasn't developed the hand-eye coordination to get it in her mouth!

Emma's Room

At about 5 weeks old we moved Emma into her own room. We all sleep much better now especially Emma who has since slept from 8pm to 6am each night. I had previously been using the room as my own scrapbooking room with a little of Emma's things. Now Emma is kind enough to let mom have one corner and one desk for her things.

2 months old and 2 feet tall!

Emma is now 2 months old and 2 feet tall! She weighs 13.2 pounds and is in the 96th percentiles for height and weight! She is growing like a weed. She loves her fingers and plays with them all the time. She has also started using her tongue to feel textures.

Emma loves her daddy! She loves watching TV with him or watching him play playstation but she especially loves when he bounces her to sleep on his lap. As you can see, she is zonked out!

Emma's new favorite toy is the bottom of the microwave. I thought this little video clip was really cute. She seems to have a lot to say about it.
