Loving My Baths

Grandma Young did an excellent job of getting Emma to enjoy bath time. Here is a video clip of her right after a bath as well as some pics.

Updates!

Ok, so I know some of you have been begging for more pics so here they are. I went crazy!!

Passed Out!

When Emma gives into sleep, she passes out! She loves to sleep with her hands out...the more room the better!
She usually needs her pacifier to fall asleep but quickly spits it out once she is asleep.
I guess it was too light for her to sleep so she pulled down her hair bow and went to sleep.

Although she looks so cute asleep, she is so much cuter awake. Her shirt says "Daddy's Little Sweetie." I think it's super cute since she looks exactly like him.

Easter Delivery

Emma celebrates her first Easter! Because we blessed her on Easter, we forgot about the Easter Bunny. Luckily the Easter Bunny found my little sisters at their hotel and he left some treats for Emma too, like this basket full of candy. We couldn't resist putting her in it. I'm amazed she actually fit.
It's definitely a perfect fit though. Emma was 9 pounds 13 ounces and 20 inches long when she was born. With in 2 weeks, she weighed 10 pounds 4 ounces and grew 2.5 inches in length! This about 4 weeks old...and still growing!

Family Pictures with Emma

Kara's Dad holding his first grandchild. I think he's almost as wrapped around her little finger as Emma's daddy is.
Cale's sister Trina holding Emma at the reception after her blessing. Her and her husband Curtis came all the way from Arizona for the blessing.
Cale's Dad holding Emma. He loves being a grandpa and is especially cute with the new little ones.

Brett finally holds "Baby Emma" and we got proof this time. The gig is up Brett. We all know you love holding babies!!

Grandma Young loves holding Emma!
Aunt Jamie and little Emma - notice Emma is again holding up her head!
Aunt Jessica was such a big help. She just knows what little Emma needs.
Aunt Kickus (sp?) just layed around as usual but took Emma with her! J/k Aunt Kickus actually sang interesting songs for Emma. Very entertaining.

Who's watching who. It appears that Emma is awake and Ari is all tuckered out!

Easter Blessing!

We purchased her blessing dress from the Distribution Center. It was so pretty but so white. Cale really wanted some pink so we added pink shoes, a pink hair bow, and pink bows on the sleeves (after the picture though).
Our little angel. She is just so precious. I can't believe she's ours. She's just so little!
These were the cutest little slippers and came with the bow. The bow was too big and had to be altered and the shoes were almost too small. Go figure!
Family picture on blessing day.
The Circle! These were all our friends and family who stood in the circle to bless Emma. Cale blessed her and did such a good job. It was so neat to see him bless his first child. The circle included my dad, cale's dad, my brothers and brother in law, cale's brother in law, and our friends Jared, Justin, and Mark.

Sleeping!

Her little head must be so heavy because she often props it up! Notice the chubby cheeks and little nose! So cute!
For the the first 3 weeks of life, Emma slept best during the day on Mom's tummy so Mom spent lots of time right here.
Little Emma always says her prayers....or at least we think so...or maybe her head is just so heavy during those naps!
Another glimpse of Little Emma sleeping on her new bed - MOM! Mom enjoys the excuse to sleep too and Emma just loves to snuggle. Who can resist that?
Emma started smiling at 3 weeks! She loves to copy your smiles...so smile big!
She loves to ponder...especially with her fingers in her mouth or her tongue sticking out!

Here's that tongue! She loves to play with it!
Guess who's now in control of the remote control? And of course, she needs her "Big Gulp" nearby!
